Steele Subaru Major Midgets Capture 2020 Ice Jam Tournament

The Steele Subaru Major Midgets defeated the Halifax McDonalds 3-1 on Sunday afternoon to capture their 2nd Chronicle Herald Ice Jam Tournament in 5 years.

Sam Gallant had two goals while Ben Mercer's powerplay goal with just less than 11 minutes to go proved to be the winner. Kian Bell assisted on all three goals. Noah Harvey was first star stopping all but one shot directed his way. The Subarus went undefeated in 7 games during the event allowing just 10 goals. 
Earlier in the day they shutout the Saint John Vitos 4-0 in the semi-final behind the stellar goaltending of Robbie Forbes. Griffin Peers with 2 goals was the player of the game.
